Photoshop???

How do I put a logo onto a picture and have the logo blend in with the rest of the picture, so that there is no white around the words, only the logo on the picture?

you can add a blur to the edge which will help blend it in, for example use a gaussian blur so its not as sharp

Open the picture then open the logo (I assume that you can open it with Photoshop. Make the logo window small enough so that you can see some of the Picture Window. In the Logo window use the magic wand to select all of the white areas may have to use Shift/click to select white inside some of the text. Go to Select/Inverse, this should select only the logo. Select the move tool (The Arrow) and click and drag the logo over the Picture window and release. This will drop the logo over the Picture. Click the Logo and drag it to where you want it positioned. When you get it like you want go to Layer/Flatten Image. This will make the file smaller but save it as a different name because the logo is embedded in the pic.

There is a magazine, 'photoshop user' which you sign up for online to access tons of tips and tricks.

Also make sure you are working in layers on a fast computer with layer masks, a lot of it if done with channels/ brightness and contrast/ color mixing/

there is no set perfect way, each photoshop expert has there own way to bring a picture to life.

sometimes its as simple as copying the layer changing the blending mode and its opacity over the original and blurring the edges with blur tool.

Take a look at GIMP. It is supposed to be a free open source program that is similar to photoshop.

The only one I know of that is free is the GIMP and the GIMP 2. They're really good, for being free and unlimited (meaning it's not just a trial version, it's the real deal!).

Google 'The GIMP 2' and click on the very first site. There should be a symbol somewhere on the page of a little dog with a paintbrush in his mouth (trademark). Then, it'll say 'click here to download' or something like that. Click that to start downloading.

So I hear all this talk about a fabulous photo and visual editing tool called photoshop. I've seen some wonderful examples of digital art that are claimed to have been done "in Photoshop" and are apparently very easy to do "in Photoshop." Photoshop, photoshop, photoshop!

I thought it might be interesting to get the Photoshop program and try my own hand at this sort of thing.

It turns out there are several kinds of photoshop. There's Photoshop CS2. There's something else called "Photoshop Elements 4.0." There's Photoshop Album 2.0. There's also something called "Premiere Elements 2.0" which apparently has something to do with Photoshop.

The product descriptions on the Adobe website all sound like the same thing to me.

Can someone with some knowledge sort this out for me? What are the above-mentioned products and how do they differ from one another? Why would I buy one over the other(s)?

When people say photoshop, they usually mean Photoshop CS2. If people are talking about Photoshop Elements they usually refer to is as just "elements".

Photoshop takes some time to learn. I took a 3 unit college class in Photoshop, and I only know about half of the program. (Which, by the way, is more then you really need to know to use Photoshop well). Until you learn photoshop, nothing is easy. Once you do, everything is easy.

My Photoshop CS3 software has corrupted, therefore id deleted the whole Photoshop folder from Program Files as well as from "Add %26 Remove" folder. so i was trying to reinstall Photoshop CS3, but after the loading setup, it shows "Photoshop CS3 can not be installed because it conflicts with Photoshop CS3". So, how should fix it as im currently using Microsoft Window XP-Service Pack 2. Thanks.

ADD REMOVE BEFORE DELETING FROM PROGRAM FILES...AND RESTARTING YOUR COMPUTER USUALLY WILL FIX THIS PROBLEM.
